• Must be at least 12 years old and register online - Registration for the Spring 2024 Season is open - Click Here.
• All NEW Buddies must attend a pre season orientation session (dates and times of the available sessions will be published each season on the Calendar - click Here).  

WE HAVE CHANGED OUR PROCEDURES A BIT THIS SPRING 2024  SEASON!  The meeting will last 45 min to an hr (MAX).  Please remember to bring your signed Parent Consent Form.
We have created a SignUpGenius – Click Here!  Please sign up on the Date you intend to come to a Buddy Meeting .  We will cancel the pending Buddy Meeting 1.5 hours ahead of Meeting time if no more than 4 Buddies are signed up! I will email out at that time as well as update the calendar. No email - the meeting is still on!

• All NEW Buddies must have a recommendation form submitted (online) by a non-parent adult (teacher, coach, youth minister, scout leader) attesting to your reliability and maturity. (For referral form, please see the appropriate menu item). If you are 18 years of age or older at the beginning of a season, a background check will be run, at no cost to the volunteer.
• ALL NEW Buddies must bring a signed Parental Consent form to the Buddy Meeting (Click Here)
• Games played on weekends and each team's time will vary week to week.
• Games are 2 innings, lasting no more than 1 hour,  7  games per season (fall & spring).
• Must arrive to your shift on time to meet and greet the player and families of the players.  You will  need to sign up for shifts HERE
• Must make contact with parent of player to gain a better vision of their needs.
• Must put your Miracle League game ahead of any social event that is optional.
• Must be able to commit to attending as many games as possible, with the exceptions being school or UIL sanctioned events where attendance is a must, religious instruction or a family event that is non-negotiable.
• Must wear the ML Buddy t-shirt, closed toe shoes and appropriate modest attire during the games. (please try to avoid using strong perfume or cologne)
• Must have exemplary behavior while wearing Miracle League attire - at anytime.
• Must give 100% of your attention to your player for the hour required of you at the games.
• Must be engaging, supportive, and  protective of your player.
• Must be flexible in working with other players on the team, attempting to get to know all the kids on that team.
• Must participate in the “half-time” activities with your player including the Chicken Dance and TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!
• MUST help, post game, with cleanup and sanitation of equipment and dugout.
• Must check your email and the website regularly for updates and scheduling information and communication from the ML staff.

Each Buddy will receive service hours for their time each season. These hours are based on each shift/game/event a buddy is able to attend. The Buddy must sign in at each shift, game or event. A Miracle League representative can sign for service hours during the season, however we will not sign for hours required for any type of discipline issues, whether school or community related. An emailed certificate will be sent at the end of each season with a record of total hrs for that season.
